



A white porcelain sculpture made in 1732 at the famous Meissen porcelain factory in Germany. The sculpture shows Mary holding the body of Jesus after he was taken down from the cross. Part of the arms of Christ and one of His feet are missing. It may have been placed in a small church or chapel for prayer.
